Support Us

As a not-for-profit community club, we rely on fundraising, grants, donations and our yearly membership fees to reinvest funds back into our Club in order to maintain our boathouse and our equipment to a high standard.

Founded in 1865, Aberdeen Boat Club is one of Scotland’s largest rowing clubs and one of the longest established clubs in the UK. A thriving, friendly and inclusive club with more than 100 rowing members, we cater for a wide range of adult rowing abilities.

Sponsoring your local sport club forges strong connections with your local community. It’s a way of giving back and reinforcing loyalty to the local area. Sponsorship is a partnership where both parties benefit. By supporting the Aberdeen Rowing Club, sponsors contribute to the growth of the sport while enhancing their own brand presence, helping us promote rowing at all levels and for all abilities.  We look forward to working with you and recognising your contribution to our club.

Sponsor Success

Previous boat sponsors, Xodus Group, saw success with the Men’s Open Squad, sponsoring the purchase of an elite level four-man Coxless boat. The Squad went on to win numerous events at The Scottish Championships, represented the club at Henley Royal Regatta, and ultimately several members were selected to represent Scotland.

The Intercompany Row

The ABC Intercompany Row began in 1985. A firm fixture in the Aberdeen summer sporting calendar, offering people of all ages who have never rowed before, the chance to get involved. Perfect for team building between colleagues or just the chance to get fit with friends. Crews of four take part in some land-based training and six water sessions, before rowing in a 500m racing regatta on the River Dee. A great day by the river as well as enjoying some friendly rivalry between north-east businesses.
