Members wishing a rack must apply to the Committee and any permission granted must be exercised at the Captain’s direction. When considering applications, the Committee will take account foremostly of the amount of usage which it believes the member will give to the boat, especially if that will be for racing. It will also take account of the quality of the usage and the length of time that the applicant has waited for a space.  A waiting list is kept but it is not one up which progress is made by the mere lapse of time.

The giving of permission in one year will not guarantee the member a rack in future years but failure to pay any racking fee by the end of August in any year will be likely to lead to withdrawal of racking permission.

Experienced Rowers

If you are an experienced oarsman or woman and are interested in joining ABC, please contact the club for more information on how to join and to discuss how we can cater for your needs.

Temporary Membership may be available if you are resident in Aberdeen for less than three months. The fee is £30 per month or for 4 weeks.
